Technical Description
DTC C0279 denotes a circuit fault or rationality mismatch within the Master Cylinder Pressure Sensor circuit or brake booster hydraulic actuator circuit. The ABS/ESC module supplies a 5V reference and ground to the piezoresistive pressure transducer and samples the analogue feedback (0.5V to 4.5V). The DTC triggers when the signal exceeds upper/lower electrical thresholds, exhibits out-of-range pressure without brake pedal actuation, or suffers from open/short conditions in the internal valve/sensor harness.
Possible Causes
1. Defekt bromstrycksensor integrerad i ABS-hydraulaggregatet (intern membran-/piezodeffekt)
5. Internt hårdvarufel i ABS/ESP-styrenhetens A/D-omvandlare

Mechanic's Tip
Before replacing expensive components, always double-check wiring and connections. 80% of all sensor faults are actually due to corroded contacts or broken wires.
