Applies to the following models:
4 modelsS60 (2001–2009), S80 (1999–2006), V70 (2000–2008), V70 XC / XC70 (2001–2007)

What does this fault code mean?
The yaw-velocity sensor, the brake pressure sensor and the lateral acceleration sensor share one power supply. The ABS control module has at some point detected that the voltage to these sensors was wrong. The fault is intermittent and applies only to cars with stability control. While it is active, anti-spin and the stability function are blocked.
Possible causes
- Wiring shorted to ground or supply voltage
- Defective sensors
- Defective ABS control module
What you can do
- 1Check the wiring between the sensors and the ABS module for contact resistance and oxidation
- 2Look for intermittent open circuits and shorts to ground or supply voltage in the wiring
- 3Remedy as necessary and clear the code
- 4If the fault remains or returns, have a workshop with diagnostic equipment check the sensors and the module
- 5ABS and stability control are safety-critical – do not work on the ABS module or the brake system yourself, have a workshop do it
Symptoms you may notice3
- Anti-spin does not work
- Stability function is absent
- Anti-spin warning lamp lit
What the fault can affect2
- Anti-spin function is blocked
- Stability function is blocked
