What does this fault code mean?
The stability function has been active for too long, which the control module has registered. The code can be set, for example, when the steering angle signal is wrong by more than is allowed, so that stabilisation keeps working all the time. This code applies only to cars with stability control, and anti-spin and the stability function are blocked.
Possible causes
- The steering angle signal is off by more than the permitted amount
What you can do
- 1Read the steering angle and check that the wheel is straight when the car drives straight
- 2Check the front wheel alignment and that the suspension and steering show no damage
- 3Clear the code and road test to see whether it returns
- 4If it remains, have a workshop check the stability function, the steering angle module and the front suspension
- 5ABS, stability and steering are safety-critical – do not work on these systems yourself, have a workshop do it
