What does this fault code mean?
The control module has registered that the wheel alignment or the steering wheel position is wrong. The stability system assumes the car runs straight when the wheel is straight, and when that does not match, anti-spin and stability are blocked. This code applies only to cars with stability control.
Possible causes
- Incorrect wheel alignment
- Incorrect steering wheel position
What you can do
- 1Read the steering angle and check that the wheel sits straight when the front wheels are straight
- 2Check the front wheel alignment and adjust the front suspension where needed
- 3After adjustment, have a workshop calibrate the stability system, then clear the code
- 4If the fault remains, have a workshop check the plugs and the steering angle sensor
- 5ABS, stability and steering are safety-critical – do not work on the front suspension or the ABS system yourself, have a workshop do it
