What does this fault code mean?
The ABS control module found that the checksum did not match when it tried to save adaptive data to its memory. This means the learned values cannot be stored correctly. The fault can come from a memory circuit fault or from low voltage during saving. This code applies only to cars with stability control.
Possible causes
- Fault in the control module memory circuit
- Voltage too low during saving
What you can do
- 1Check the battery and its terminals so that the voltage is stable
- 2Clear the code and check whether it returns
- 3If it returns, have a workshop check the ABS control module
- 4After replacement or repair the stability system must be calibrated by a workshop
- 5ABS and stability control are safety-critical – do not work on the ABS module yourself, have a workshop do it
Symptoms you may notice3

- Anti-spin function does not work
- Stability function does not work
