What does this fault code mean?
The ADM keeps track of how much additive the tank holds. The level has dropped so low that only a small amount of additive remains. The code works as a reminder that the tank needs topping up, and it is set when the tank is empty or nearly empty.
Possible causes
- Low level in the additive tank
- Codes stored for the additive level sensor
- Damaged additive dosing module (ADM)
What you can do
- 1Check whether the codes for the additive level sensor, ADM-0002 or ADM-0003, are stored and deal with those first
- 2Top up the additive tank and check that the code clears
- 3Clear the code and road test to see whether it returns
- 4If the code returns after topping up and no cause is found, the additive tank may need replacing
- 5Restart the module with diagnostic equipment after any repair
Symptoms you may notice3
- Emissions warning lamp lit
- Message in the text window of the display
- Yellow warning symbol and text message in the display
