What does this fault code mean?
The ADM has seen the pump wiring shorted to the positive side of the supply. The high voltage stops the pump control from working as intended, and the fault shows up as the emissions warning lamp. The pump sits in the additive tank and is not replaced separately.
Possible causes
- Pump wiring shorted to the positive side of the supply
- Damaged additive pump
- Damaged additive dosing module (ADM)
What you can do
- 1Follow the pump wiring and look for chafing or damaged insulation
- 2Check the connector at the additive tank for damage and moisture
- 3Clear the code and check whether it returns
- 4If the code returns with no visible cause, the additive tank may need replacing
- 5If the fault remains, have a workshop with diagnostic equipment check the pump and the module
Symptoms you may notice1
- Emissions warning lamp lit
