What does this fault code mean?
The additive dosing module (ADM) checks the parameters sent by the central electronic module (CEM). If a parameter is incorrect or missing, the code is set. The fault most often happens when a module or function has been added to or removed from the car without the configuration being updated.
Possible causes
- Fault in the CAN communication
- A control module or function has been added or removed without the vehicle configuration being updated
What you can do
- 1Ask whether any module or function has recently been added, removed or replaced in the car
- 2Have a workshop check that the car configuration has been updated after any such change
- 3Read the codes in the central electronic module and the other control modules and deal with those first
- 4Clear the code and check whether it returns
- 5If the fault remains, have a workshop with diagnostic equipment work through the configuration
