ADM-P192813 - Fuel Additive Pump Control Circuit / Open. General Electrical Failures. Circuit open
System
Additive Dosing Module (ADM)
Volvo models this fault code applies to
Applies to the following models:
2 modelsS80 (2007–), V70 (2008–)
Show models by year and engine (2)
What does this fault code mean?
The ADM keeps watch on the additive pump control circuit and has found a break in the wiring to the pump. Without a working circuit, additive cannot be dosed, and the fault shows up as the emissions warning lamp. The pump is built into the additive tank, so the tank is usually replaced together with it.
Possible causes
- Poor contact, resistance or corrosion at the terminals
- Break in the wiring to the additive pump
- Damaged additive pump
- Damaged additive dosing module (ADM)
What you can do
- 1Check the connector at the additive tank for looseness, resistance and corrosion
- 2Look for breaks in the wiring to the pump, especially where it enters the tank
- 3Clear the code and check whether it returns
- 4If the code returns with no visible cause, the additive tank may need replacing
- 5If the fault remains, have a workshop with diagnostic equipment check the pump and the module
Symptoms you may notice1
- Emissions warning lamp lit
