Show models by year and engine (2)
What does this fault code mean?
The ADM monitors the additive pump control circuit and has registered a short to supply voltage on the pump's wiring. The fault shows up as the emissions warning lamp. Since the pump sits in the additive tank, the tank is usually the part replaced if the fault persists.
Possible causes
- Pump wiring shorted high to the supply
- Damaged additive pump
- Damaged additive dosing module (ADM)
What you can do
- 1Follow the pump wiring and look for chafing or damaged insulation
- 2Check the connector at the additive tank for damage and moisture
- 3Clear the code and check whether it returns
- 4If the code returns with no visible cause, the additive tank may need replacing
- 5If the fault remains, have a workshop with diagnostic equipment check the pump and the module
Symptoms you may notice1
