What does this fault code mean?
The ADM has not received the vehicle configuration it expects from the CEM, so its initial configuration is not finished. The code is set when that information is missing after the ignition is switched on. It is often a communication break on the CAN network.
Possible causes
- Incorrect CAN configuration ID, for example after fitting a used module with other software or hardware
- Open circuit in the CAN wire between the module and the CEM
What you can do
- 1Read the codes in the CEM first, since communication faults often go together with them
- 2Check that the ADM module is not second-hand with the wrong software, and whether new software was loaded after fitting
- 3Check the connectors and the wiring between the ADM and the CEM for breaks
- 4With diagnostic equipment check the data network
- 5Clear the code only once the cause is fixed, and check that it does not return
