What does this fault code mean?
The accessory electronic module (AEM) is seeing a supply voltage that differs too much from the one at the central electronic module (CEM). The fault is permanent, and accessories connected to the module do not work. The cause is usually in the battery feed, for example a fuse, an open wire or a loose connector.
Possible causes
- Open circuit or short to ground in the permanent supply to the AEM
- Contact resistance, oxidation or a loose connection in the permanent supply to the AEM
What you can do
- 1Check the main fuse and the fuse for the accessory module in the rear fuse box
- 2Check that the battery is charged and that its terminals are tight
- 3Check the AEM connector for contact resistance, oxidation and looseness, and look for damage
- 4If the fault remains, have a workshop check the supply and the ground to the AEM
