What does this fault code mean?
The AEM has registered a signal that is too low on the power supply to the antenna amplifier, and the fault is permanent. This causes poor radio reception because the amplifier does not get enough voltage. The cause is usually a short to ground in the supply wire or a faulty antenna amplifier.
Possible causes
- Power supply wire to the antenna amplifier shorted to ground
- Faulty antenna amplifier
What you can do
- 1Follow the supply wire to the antenna amplifier and look for chafing or damage
- 2Check the connectors at the antenna amplifier for oxidation and loose connections
- 3If the fault remains, have the antenna amplifier replaced by a workshop after checking the wire
Symptoms you may notice1
- Poor radio reception
