What does this fault code mean?
The tuner (AFM) has logged a configuration fault: its software does not agree with the rest of the car's setup. The module then uses its default settings, and reception can be poorer. A tuner fitted to the car without being programmed is a possible cause.
Possible causes
- The tuner control module has not been configured
- An unprogrammed control module may have been fitted to the car
What you can do
- 1Find out whether the tuner module has recently been replaced and whether it is new or unprogrammed
- 2Have a workshop download software that matches the car
- 3Clear the code after the fix and check that it does not return
- 4For a permanent fault the tuner module is replaced by a workshop
