What does this fault code mean?
The audio control module (AUD) has detected an open circuit in the signal wire to the microphone, which is mounted in the interior mirror. Without a signal the microphone does not work.
Possible causes
- Open circuit in the signal wire between the module and the microphone
- Faulty or damaged microphone
- Loose or corroded wire terminals at the connector
What you can do
- 1Check the connector at the microphone in the interior mirror for loose connections and contact resistance
- 2Check the wire terminals for play and oxidation
- 3If the connector is sound but the fault remains, have a workshop check the wire and microphone with diagnostic equipment
- 4Replace the microphone or repair the wire as needed, then clear the code
