What does this fault code mean?
The audio control module (AUD) has lost the signal from the buttons for headphone output 2. This points to an open circuit in the signal wire or in the headphone panel, and the buttons for that output then do not work.
Possible causes
- Open circuit in the signal wire between the module and headphone output 2
- Open circuit inside the headphone panel, which is then faulty
What you can do
- 1Check that the connector to the left headphone panel is fully engaged
- 2Try the buttons on the left headphone socket 2 using fast forward, next track and switching between CD/MD and radio
- 3Check the wire terminals for oxidation and intermittent contact
- 4Check the wiring and headphone panel with diagnostic equipment and repair the fault
