What does this fault code mean?
The audio control module (AUD) has lost the signal from the buttons for headphone output 3, which is connected to the right headphone panel. The buttons for that output do not work. The fault usually lies in a broken wire or in the headphone panel and shows when the ignition is switched on.
Possible causes
- Open circuit in the signal wire between the module and headphone output 3
- Open circuit inside the right headphone panel, which is then faulty
What you can do
- 1Check that the connector to the right headphone panel is fully engaged
- 2Try the buttons on the right headphone socket 3 using fast forward, next track and switching between CD/MD and radio
- 3Check the wire terminals for contact resistance, play and oxidation
- 4Check the wiring and headphone panel with diagnostic equipment and repair the fault
