What does this fault code mean?
The audio control module (AUD) has found a button on the right headphone panel that has been active for too long, which indicates it is stuck in the pressed position. The buttons for the right headphone output then do not work. The fault lies in the button rather than the audio, and it may be temporary or permanent.
Possible causes
- A button on one of the right headphone outputs is stuck in the pressed position
- Faulty button in the headphone panel
What you can do
- 1Check that the connector to the right headphone panel is fully seated
- 2If the fault is intermittent it may have cleared; clear the code and try again, and investigate if it is set once more
- 3Check the buttons on the right headphone panel using fast forward, next track and switching between CD/MD and radio
- 4Have a workshop replace the headphone panel if a button sticks again
Symptoms you may notice1
