What does this fault code mean?
The audio control module (AUD) checks the signal on the wiring to the rear left door loudspeaker. If the resistance in that circuit becomes too low, the code is set, most often because the two signal wires to the speaker have shorted together. Nothing is then heard from that speaker.
Possible causes
- Short circuit between the two signal wires to the speaker
What you can do
- 1Check that the audio system fuses are intact; their locations are in the owner's manual or on the fuse box cover
- 2Inspect the wiring to the rear left door speaker for chafing and pinching
- 3Check the connectors at the speaker and at the audio module for looseness and corrosion
- 4Check the speaker and wiring with diagnostic equipment and replace the speaker if it is faulty
