What does this fault code mean?
The audio control module (AUD) checks the signal on the wiring to the rear right door loudspeaker. When the resistance in that circuit is too low the code is set, which most often means the two signal wires to the speaker are shorted together. There is then no sound from that speaker.
Possible causes
- Short circuit between the two signal wires to the speaker
What you can do
- 1Check the audio system fuses and where they are located in the owner's manual or on the fuse box cover
- 2Inspect the wiring to the rear right door speaker for chafing, pinching and loose clips
- 3Check the connectors at the speaker and at the audio module for looseness and corrosion
- 4Check the speaker and wiring with diagnostic equipment and replace the speaker if it is faulty
