What does this fault code mean?
The audio control module (AUD) measures too low a signal on the wiring to the loudspeaker in the left rear door. The fault is set while the module is active and is most often a short circuit to ground between the speaker and the module. While the fault is present no sound comes from that speaker.
Possible causes
- Short circuit to ground in the wiring between the left rear door speaker and the audio module
What you can do
- 1Check that the audio system fuses are intact; their locations are in the owner's manual or on the fuse box cover
- 2Inspect the wiring to the left rear door speaker for chafing and pinching where it could touch the bodywork
- 3Check the connectors at the speaker and at the audio module for looseness and corrosion
- 4Read the signal with diagnostic equipment and repair the short to ground
