What does this fault code mean?
The audio control module (AUD) registers too low a signal on the wiring to the right rear door loudspeaker. This points to a short circuit to ground between the module and the speaker. The code is set while the module is active, and the speaker gives no sound while the fault is present.
Possible causes
- Short circuit to ground in the wiring between the right rear door speaker and the audio module
What you can do
- 1Check that the audio system fuses are intact and see where they are located in the owner's manual
- 2Inspect the wiring to the right rear door speaker for chafing and pinching, especially where it may touch the bodywork
- 3Check the connectors at the speaker and at the audio module for looseness and corrosion
- 4Read the signal with diagnostic equipment and repair the short to ground
