What does this fault code mean?
The audio control module (AUD) checks the signal from the driver side active noise cancellation microphone. If the signal is too high, usually because the signal wire is shorted to supply voltage, the code is set. It appears while the module is powered and normally gives no noticeable symptoms.
Possible causes
- Signal wire between the module and the microphone shorted to supply voltage
What you can do
- 1Check that the fuses are intact and see where they are located in the owner's manual
- 2Inspect the microphone connector and its wiring for chafing, damage and moisture
- 3Read the microphone signal with diagnostic equipment and check that the wire is not shorted to supply voltage
- 4Repair the wiring or replace the microphone, then clear the code
Symptoms you may notice1
- No noticeable symptoms
