What does this fault code mean?
The audio control module (AUD) checks the signal from the active noise cancellation microphone on the front passenger side. If no signal is received, for example because of a broken wire or a damaged microphone, the code is set. It appears while the module is powered and normally causes no noticeable symptoms.
Possible causes
- Open circuit in the signal wire between the module and the microphone
- Damaged microphone
What you can do
- 1Check that the fuses are intact and see where they are located in the owner's manual
- 2Inspect the microphone connector and wiring for loose connections and oxidation
- 3Check with diagnostic equipment that the signal reaches the module and that the microphone works
- 4Replace the microphone or repair the wiring as needed, then clear the code
