What does this fault code mean?
The audio control module (AUD) has registered too high a signal on the wiring to the front right door speaker. The usual cause is a short circuit to supply voltage in that signal wire, and the code is set while the module is active. The speaker then produces no sound and parking assistance tones may be lost.
Possible causes
- Short circuit to supply voltage in the signal wire between the front right door speaker and the audio module
What you can do
- 1Check whether similar codes are stored for the other speakers, since a shared fault is then likely
- 2Check the connectors at the module and the speaker for contact resistance, play and oxidation
- 3Look for chafing and places where the wire could have touched a live circuit
- 4Have a workshop check the speaker and wiring and replace the faulty part
Symptoms you may notice2
- No sound from the front right door speaker
- Front and rear parking assistance does not work
