What does this fault code mean?
The audio control module (AUD) registers too low a signal on the wiring to the rear left door speaker. The usual cause is a short circuit to ground between the speaker and the module. The code is set while the module is active, and the speaker produces no sound while the fault is present.
Possible causes
- Short circuit to ground in the signal wire between the rear left door speaker and the audio module
What you can do
- 1Check whether similar codes are stored for the other speakers, since a shared fault is then likely
- 2Check the connectors at the module and the speaker for contact resistance, play and oxidation
- 3Visually inspect the wiring between the module and the speaker and replace it if it is damaged
- 4Have a workshop check the speaker and replace it if it is faulty
