What does this fault code mean?
The audio control module (AUD) measures the resistance in the circuit to the right rear door speaker. If it becomes too low, the code is set, most often because the two signal wires to the speaker have shorted together. The speaker then gives no sound and parking assistance may be affected.
Possible causes
- Short circuit between the two signal wires to the speaker
What you can do
- 1Check that the audio system fuses are intact and see where they are located in the owner's manual
- 2Check the connectors at the module and the speaker for contact resistance, play and oxidation
- 3Visually inspect the wiring between the module and the speaker for damage and replace it if needed
- 4Have a workshop check the speaker and replace it if it is faulty
Symptoms you may notice2
- No sound from the right rear door speaker
- Front and rear parking assistance does not work
