What does this fault code mean?
The audio control module (AUD) has registered that no signal arrives on the wiring to the centre speaker. The usual cause is a break in the wire or a faulty speaker, and the code is set while the module is active. The centre speaker is then silent.
Possible causes
- Break in the wire between the audio module and the centre speaker
- Faulty centre speaker
What you can do
- 1Check that the audio system fuses are intact and see where they are located in the owner's manual
- 2Check the connectors at the module and at the centre speaker for contact resistance, play and oxidation
- 3Look for breaks in the wiring between the module and the centre speaker
- 4Have a workshop test and replace the centre speaker or its wiring if the fault remains
