What does this fault code mean?
The audio control module (AUD) measures the DC voltage on the outputs to the centre speaker. If the difference between them becomes too large, the code is set and sound from the centre speaker may be lost. The fault most often lies in the module, but a short to supply voltage or to ground in the wiring can give the same symptoms.

- Damaged audio control module
- Short circuit to supply voltage in the wiring
- Short circuit to ground in the wiring
What you can do
- 1Check whether similar codes are stored for the other speakers, since a shared fault is then likely
- 2Check the connectors at the module and at the centre speaker for contact resistance, play and oxidation
- 3Visually inspect the wiring between the module and the centre speaker and replace it if damaged
- 4Check the module and the centre speaker with diagnostic equipment and replace the faulty part
