What does this fault code mean?
The subwoofer has two speaker elements, SUB 1 and SUB 2. The audio control module (AUD) measures the DC voltage on the outputs to element SUB 2. If the difference between them becomes too large, the code is set. The fault most often lies in the module, but a short to supply voltage or to ground in the wiring can give the same symptoms.

- Short circuit to supply voltage in the wiring
- Short circuit to ground in the wiring
What you can do
- 1Check whether similar codes are stored for the other speakers, since a shared fault is then likely
- 2Check the connectors at the subwoofer and at the audio module for contact resistance, play and oxidation
- 3Visually inspect the wiring to element SUB 2 and replace it if damaged
- 4Check the subwoofer and audio module with diagnostic equipment and replace the faulty part
