What does this fault code mean?
The audio control module (AUD) monitors the amplifier circuitry that serves the left and right front speakers. If the resistance becomes too low, the code is set, most often because the two signal wires to a speaker have shorted together.
Possible causes
- Short circuit between the two signal wires to the speaker
What you can do
- 1Check that the audio system fuses are intact and see where they are located in the owner's manual
- 2Check the connectors at the front speakers and at the audio module for contact resistance, play and oxidation
- 3Inspect the wiring to the front speakers for damage and replace it if needed
- 4Check the speaker circuits with diagnostic equipment
