What does this fault code mean?
The audio control module (AUD) checks the internal amplifier circuits that drive the loudspeakers. The code is set when a DC voltage has been passed into the speaker wiring harness, which means a short circuit to supply voltage.
Possible causes
- Short circuit to supply voltage in the speaker wiring harness
What you can do
- 1Check that the audio system fuses are intact and see where they are located in the owner's manual
- 2Inspect the speaker wiring harness for damage, chafing and places where it could have touched a live circuit
- 3Check the connectors at the audio module for contact resistance, play and oxidation
- 4Read the code with diagnostic equipment and repair the short or replace the audio module as needed
