AUD-U300017 - Control Module. General Electrical Failures. Circuit voltage above threshold
System
Audio Module (AUD)
Volvo models this fault code applies to
Applies to the following models:
9 modelsS60 (2011–), S80 (2007–), V40 (2013–), V40 Cross Country (2013–), V60 (2011–), V60 Cross Country (2015–), V70 (2008–), XC60 (2009–), XC70 (2008–)
What does this fault code mean?
The audio module (AUD) monitors the supply voltage to its internal components. The code is set when the voltage is too high, which most often comes from a charging system that delivers too high a voltage. Reproducing deep bass at very high volume can produce the same result.
Possible causes
- Battery charger or starter unit with an incorrect charging voltage connected
- Damaged charging system
- Bass reproduction at very high volume
What you can do
- 1Check that the audio system fuses are intact and see where they are located in the owner's manual
- 2Make sure no battery charger or starter unit with the wrong voltage has been connected when the fault appears
- 3Check the charging system and battery voltage with diagnostic equipment
- 4If the fault only appears at very high volume, the audio module is probably not the cause
Symptoms you may notice3
- The speakers do not work
- The headphones do not work
- The complete audio unit does not work
