What does this fault code mean?
The audio module (AUD) bases its settings on the vehicle configuration file held in the central electronic module (CEM). The code is set when it receives invalid or incorrect data from that file, and The speakers, headphones and headphone output buttons may then stop working.
Possible causes
- The vehicle configuration is incorrect
- Audio module not intended for this car, for example a used unit with different software or hardware
What you can do
- 1Check that the audio system fuses are intact and see where they are located in the owner's manual
- 2Find out whether the audio module comes from another car, since a used unit can cause the code
- 3Have a workshop check the vehicle configuration and load the correct software with diagnostic equipment
- 4Clear the code only once the configuration is correct, and check that it does not return
