What does this fault code mean?
The audio module (AUD) compares its own supply voltage with the voltage reported by the central electronic module (CEM). The code is set when the voltage is too low. This is most often because the supply wire is shorted to ground, and the sound may then be weak or absent.
Possible causes
- Supply wire shorted to ground
What you can do
- 1Check that the audio system fuses are intact and see where they are located in the owner's manual
- 2Check that the battery is charged and its terminals are tight
- 3Inspect the supply wire to the audio module for chafing and damage where it may have touched bodywork
- 4Measure the supply with diagnostic equipment and repair the short to ground
Symptoms you may notice2
- No sound from the speakers
- Weak or poor sound
