What does this fault code mean?
The audio unit (AUM) has detected an antenna-signal problem on the link from the GPS antenna to the audio unit during the self-test. The cause is most often a poor connection, a short in the antenna cable or a faulty GPS antenna. The map can then show the vehicle in the wrong place.
Possible causes
- Contact resistance or oxidation in the connectors
- Antenna cable shorted to ground or supply voltage
- Defective antenna cable
- Defective GPS antenna
What you can do
- 1Check the GPS antenna connectors for contact resistance and oxidation
- 2Check the antenna cable for breaks and for shorts to supply voltage or ground
- 3If no fault is found in the cables, the GPS antenna may need replacing, which should be done by a workshop
- 4Verify the repair by reading the code afterwards and checking that it does not return
