What does this fault code mean?
The CD player's laser has failed to focus after several attempts, and the fault is intermittent. The code is set for a fault in the CD player or the disc. The cause may be a focusing fault in the player, a disc loaded the wrong way round, a damaged disc or condensation. It shows as no sound from the CD player.

What you can do
- 1Check that the disc is loaded the right way round and is clean and undamaged
- 2If condensation may be the cause, let the disc and player dry out before testing again
- 3If the code does not return, no further action is needed
- 4Have a workshop replace the CD player if the fault returns
