What does this fault code mean?
The audio unit (AUM) does not detect the MD player, and the fault is permanent. The code is set when the head unit cannot see the MD player. The usual cause is a defective MD player, although an internal fault in the head unit can give the same symptom. The MD player then does not work.

- 1Have a workshop establish whether the fault lies in the MD player or in the head unit
- 2If the head unit is faulty, replace it; a new unit is supplied without software and must be programmed by a workshop
- 3Check after the repair that the code does not return
