What does this fault code mean?
The audio control module (AUM) has detected that an amplifier is fitted in the car, while the car's data says no amplifier should be present. The fault is present now. The audio unit software and the equipment therefore do not match, which can happen after an aftermarket fit or a change of audio equipment.
Possible causes
- An amplifier is fitted but the car's data says it should not be
- The audio unit software does not match the fitted amplifier
What you can do
- 1Find out whether the amplifier or the audio equipment has been fitted or changed afterwards
- 2Have a workshop download the correct software to the audio unit
- 3After the update, check that the audio system works and clear the code
