What does this fault code mean?
The accessory USB unit (AUU) control module compares the vehicle's voltage supply with the voltage at the central electronic module (CEM) and sets the code when the difference is too large while the module is active. The code does not always mean something is broken, and if no function is affected it can simply be cleared.
Possible causes
- Signal too high because a wire is shorted to supply voltage
- Signal too low because a wire is shorted to ground
- Open circuit in the supply wire
What you can do
- 1Check that the fuses are intact; their locations are in the owner's handbook or on the fuse box cover
- 2If the code has not been active for a long time and no function is affected, it is enough to clear it
- 3If the code has been active for a long time and the USB function does not work, have a workshop read the voltage and check the wiring with diagnostic equipment
Symptoms you may notice1
- USB accessory does not work
