What does this fault code mean?
The steering angle sensor module (SAS) passes a status message to the brake control module. If the brake control module receives a message from SAS saying that it has an internal fault, the code is set. The fault lies in the steering angle sensor module, not in the brake control module.
Possible causes
- Internal fault in the steering angle sensor module (SAS)
What you can do
- 1Read the codes in the steering angle sensor module and fault-find according to them
- 2Have a workshop check the SAS module and replace it if the fault remains
- 3The brake system is safety critical: do not replace the brake control module for this code, and drive carefully until the fault is fixed
Symptoms you may notice5
- Anti-spin warning lamp on
- General yellow warning lamp on
- Anti-spin does not work
- Stability function does not work
- Anti-skid does not work
What the fault can affect1
- Traction control (TC), stability control (SC) and active yaw control (AYC) are disabled
