What does this fault code mean?
The brake control module registers that the voltage supply to the AYC sensor is too low. The cause may be poor contact at the connections, wires shorted to ground, open circuits in the wiring or an internal fault in the AYC sensor.
Possible causes
- Contact resistance at the AYC sensor connections
- Wires shorted to ground
- Open circuits in the wiring
- Internal fault in the AYC sensor
What you can do
- 1Check the connectors at the brake control module and the AYC sensor for contact resistance and oxidation
- 2Check the wiring between the AYC sensor and the brake control module for short circuits to ground and open circuits
- 3If the code status is intermittent, the fault has probably been contact resistance; if it remains, have a workshop check it
- 4The brake system is safety critical: do not replace the brake control module for this code, and drive carefully until the fault is fixed
Symptoms you may notice5
- Anti-spin warning lamp on
- General yellow warning lamp on
- Anti-spin does not work
- Stability function does not work
- Anti-skid does not work
What the fault can affect1
- Traction control (TC), stability control (SC) and active yaw control (AYC) are disabled
