What does this fault code mean?
The pressure sensor inside the hydraulic unit gives the brake control module information about the pressure in the brake system. The code is set when the signal is faulty. The fault may lie in the sensor in the hydraulic unit or in the brake control module itself, and it may be intermittent.
Possible causes
- Pressure sensor in the hydraulic unit not working
- Fault inside the brake control module (BCM)
What you can do
- 1Clear the code and check whether it returns; if it does not, the fault may have been a temporary disturbance
- 2Read the fault status with diagnostic equipment
- 3If the fault remains, have a workshop replace the hydraulic unit
- 4The brake system is safety critical: do not work on the hydraulic unit yourself, and drive carefully until the fault is fixed
Symptoms you may notice3
- Traction control does not work
- Stability function does not work
- The anti-spin and anti-skid lamps show a fault or no indication
What the fault can affect1
- Traction control (TC), stability control (SC) and active yaw control (AYC) are disabled
