What does this fault code mean?
The pressure sensor in the hydraulic unit has an offset value, a correction value for the sensor's own deviation. The code is set when the module detects that the offset value is wrong. The fault is most often in the sensor or in an internal fault in the brake control module.
Possible causes
- Pressure sensor not working
- Fault inside the brake control module (BCM)
What you can do
- 1Clear the code and check whether it returns; if it does not, the fault may have been a temporary disturbance
- 2Read the fault status with diagnostic equipment
- 3If the fault remains, have a workshop replace the hydraulic unit
- 4The brake system is safety critical: do not work on the hydraulic unit yourself, and drive carefully until the fault is fixed
Symptoms you may notice3
- Information lamp on
- Traction control does not work
- Stability function does not work
What the fault can affect1
- Traction control (TC), stability control (SC) and active yaw control (AYC) are disabled
