What does this fault code mean?
The pressure sensor in the hydraulic unit gives a signal that the module judges to be implausible. The cause may be too large a gap between brake pads and disc, air leaking into the hydraulics, the sensor itself or an internal fault in the brake control module.
Possible causes
- Too large a gap between brake pads and disc
- Air leak in the hydraulics
- Pressure sensor in the hydraulic unit not working
- Fault inside the brake control module (BCM)
What you can do
- 1Have a workshop visually inspect the brakes, especially the gap between pads and disc
- 2Have a workshop check the brake hydraulics for air leaks
- 3Clear the code and check whether it returns
- 4The brake system is safety critical: do not work on the brakes or hydraulics yourself, and drive carefully until the fault is fixed
Symptoms you may notice3
- Information lamp on
- Traction control does not work
- Stability function does not work
What the fault can affect1
- Traction control (TC), stability control (SC) and active yaw control (AYC) are disabled
