What does this fault code mean?
After the steering angle sensor has been initialised, a plausibility check of the steering angle is carried out. The code is set if the check is not passed while the car is driven above a certain speed. The check may finish after the code has been set, but before the ignition is switched off.
Possible causes
- Plausibility check of the steering angle has not been passed
What you can do
- 1Drive the car so that the check can finish, then clear the code and check whether it returns
- 2If the fault remains, have a workshop check the plausibility of the steering angle sensor and the wheel alignment
- 3The brake system is safety critical: do not replace the brake control module for this code, and drive carefully until the fault is fixed
Symptoms you may notice3
- Anti-spin warning lamp on
- General warning lamp on
- Anti-skid does not work
What the fault can affect1
- Active yaw control (AYC) is disabled
