What does this fault code mean?
The stability sensor has a correction value for its individual deviation in roll motion, and the value has been judged unreasonable. The fault often lies in how the sensor is mounted or in a missing calibration, not in the brake control module.
Possible causes
- Stability sensor incorrectly fitted
- Loose stability sensor
- Bent bracket for the stability sensor
- Internal fault in the stability sensor
- Brake control module calibration missing
What you can do
- 1Read and note the code, clear it and road test the car to see whether it returns
- 2Check that the stability sensor is secure and correctly fitted to the bracket under the passenger seat, and that the bracket is not bent
- 3Have a workshop calibrate the brake control module and check the sensor with diagnostic equipment. Read the code status without switching the ignition off after the road test
- 4If the fault remains, the stability sensor needs replacing by a workshop, and calibration must be done afterwards
- 5The braking system is safety critical: do not work on the stability sensor or braking system yourself; leave this to a workshop
Symptoms you may notice5
- Anti-spin function does not work
- Front monitoring and active safety do not work
- Brake pedal requires more force than normal
- Cruise control will not engage
- Stability function does not work
What the fault can affect3
- Traction control and stability control can be disabled
- Active yaw control (AYC) is blocked
- Roll control (RSC) is blocked
General guidance for car owners. Diagnosis on the car can point to a different cause.
