BCM-C007768 - Low Tire Pressure. Algorithm Based Failures. Event information
System
Brake Control Module (BCM)
Volvo models this fault code applies to
Applies to the following models:
8 modelsS60 (2011–), S80 (2007–), V40 (2013–), V40 Cross Country (2013–), V60 (2011–), V70 (2008–), XC60 (2009–), XC70 (2008–)
What does this fault code mean?
The module estimates each wheel's tyre pressure mainly from the wheel sensor signals. The calculated pressure in one or more tyres is below the threshold, which suggests that one or more tyres have too low an air pressure. The code is event information and can be set during normal driving.
Possible causes
- Too low air pressure in one or more of the tyres
What you can do
- 1Check the air pressure in all tyres and compare it with the value in the owner's manual or on the tyre label
- 2Inflate any tyres with too low a pressure to the correct value
- 3Drive the car for a while after adjusting, as the system calibrates during normal, gentle driving on tarmac
- 4If any tyre is losing air, have it checked, and a workshop can repair the leak
- 5The brakes work, but drive carefully until the fault is fixed as the assistance systems may be disabled
Symptoms you may notice2
- Tyre pressure monitoring shows a fault or no indication
- Yellow warning symbol and message in the display
What the fault can affect1
- Tyre pressure monitoring cannot show correct values for the affected tyres
General guidance for car owners. Diagnosis on the car can point to a different cause.
