What does this fault code mean?
An internal check function in the module watches over the module's own components. It has registered an internal fault, so ABS and several stability functions are blocked. The fault lies in the module.
Possible causes
- Internal fault in the brake control module
What you can do
- 1Switch the ignition off and on and see whether the warning lamps go out
- 2Read and note the code, clear it and road test the car to see whether it returns
- 3If the fault returns, the brake control module needs replacing by a workshop
- 4The braking system is safety critical: leave repairs to a workshop, and drive carefully, as the brakes work without ABS

- ABS warning lamp on
- Brake circuit has failed and the warning lamp is on
- Anti-spin warning lamp on
- ABS does not work
- Stability function does not work

- Anti-lock braking and brake force distribution are blocked
