Applies to the following models:

Show models by year and engine (2)
What does this fault code mean?
On the V60, the brake control module (BCM) has found an internal fault in the form of a checksum error in its own data for the brake pedal angle sensor. The fault lies in the module, and after any replacement the internal sensors must be recalibrated.
Possible causes
- Checksum error in the module's data
What you can do
- 1Clear the codes in the brake control module and check whether the fault returns
- 2If the fault returns, the brake control module needs replacing by a workshop. After a replacement, the workshop must recalibrate the acceleration sensor and the internal sensors
- 3The braking system is safety critical: do not work on the brake control module or its calibration yourself; leave this to a workshop
Symptoms you may notice4
- Anti-spin function does not work
- Hill descent assist does not work
- Hill start assist does not work
- Front monitoring and adaptive cruise control do not work
